A new beast is born. Spawned from the unholy union of the Baldwin Burns Buzzaround and the Elka Dizzytone. Three transistors cascading into a bacchanalian destruction of your sonic sensibilities. Cosmic sustain. Oceans of fuzz texture. Blend stinging treble or fat low end with the timbre control. Combine the balance knob to find your preferred volume and tone. Sustain knob goes from a subtle crunch to all out annihilation.

While based on classic circuits, the Blacklight has all the modern updates. True bypass switching, LED indication and can be powered by common negative tip 9v power supplies. Silicon transistors have been adapted for use in the first two positions. This ensures  lower noise and a more predictable response in different temperatures. An NOS germanium SFT type is used in the third position. They are hand selected along with the germanium diode to provide rich sustain and low noise while giving good clean up with the guitar volume depending on the sustain knob position. Wima film capacitors, styroflex and Nichicon audio grade electros are featured in the signal path.
