Effect: Fuzz

One of the earliest Japanese Big Muff interpretations was the Super Fuzz Sustainar, produced by ELK Gakki Co.
Later, the name was changed to Big Muff Sustainar.

Released around 1973, it was modeled after the early Triangle Muffs and became known for its thick, growling, saturated fuzz with endless sustain. ELK Gakki Co., also known as Electro Sound Co., produced this pedal under several names throughout the 1970s.

The pedal was later made famous by guitarist Wata of the band Boris, cementing its cult status among fuzz enthusiasts.
