Another early 70s Japanese take on the Big Muff circuit with a few changes that give it its own character. The FM-3 was the last pedal Ace Tone released before the company transitioned into Roland and is considered one of the rarest pedals in the Ace Tone line.
The overall tone of the pedal is pretty balanced and is not as scooped as most muff circuits.
The fuzz has a slight sizzle underneath and a smooth low end that sits just under the notes. It also cleans up really well with your guitar. With the fuzz all the way up, it gets a bit overly pushed with a throaty breakup. As you roll the fuzz back, it smooths out but keeps that same throaty character.
These are discounted due to slight imperfections in the overall finish.
