The Jumbo Fuzzola is inspired by the 1973 JEN Jumbo Fuzz and the later Fuzzola II. Based on 1972 Triangle-era circuits, it builds on that foundation with key changes that set it apart from its origin.
The overall character is unique. It carries the low end of a 1972 V6 Triangle, but it sits underneath the notes with an almost clean-blend feel. Lead lines stay clear, thick, and sustain effortlessly with strong note definition.
A defining change is what many today call the “Creamy Mod,” similar to the Creamy Dreamer. The emitter resistors are removed from the transistors, allowing more gain to flow through the circuit. The result is increased sustain, thicker notes, and a smooth, saturated lead tone.
