Mudfly - fuzz

Mudfly is a high gain variant of fuzz face / tonebender MK1.5 / colorsound fuzz family. It's equipped with new old stock ME4003 silicon transistors and is tuned to sound similar to my another model FFAS with much more clarity, touch sensitivity and cutting-thru-mix bite. It's less compressed and reacts well to guitar vol pot turning down, providing nice and tight drive sound. Good amount of sustain is finished with a bit of crackle & gating effect at decay.

There is control of input gain via 'load' (input impedance) pot instead of 'fuzz' seen in the most FF type pedals, what allows to reduce 'fuzziness' and have some flexibility in available amount of distortion and maintain punch in a whole range. Load knob is a handy tool to use with another pedals before FFAS, coz when turned back it 'unloads' preceding device so you can use your wah, booster, buffers or other pedals with no worries.

Depth pot allows to reduce both amount of bass and overall heaviness, which turns pedal's character from a classic dense fuzz to super light, almost 'overdrivish' fuzz with lot's of presence bite and dynamics.

Level knob is simply a volume control with enough output available to push amp. Turning it up also provides a little more aggressive and bright tone compared to 'unity gain' setting.

load - turned CCW reduces gain

No battery operation possible with this pedal. Use quality, isolated 9V negative center power supply ONLY.
