In 2004, David of the band Slomatics acquired a D*A*M Meathead to help him occupy the sonic space in his band where normally a bass would do the job. It was Meathead number 13.
21 years later and that Meathead circuit type is still an integral part of the bands sound. Formed in Belfast late 2004, Slomatics have developed a singularly identifiable style. Fostering a sound that soars at least as much as it crushes. A sci-fi backdrop casts a duly futuristic theme around which their material is based, and as they offer lumbering tones and massive, wilful slogs of doomed riffs, they complement that grooving clarion with a sense of space that is all their own.

The Meathead was originally designed for the heaviest of riffs and brutal soundscapes. It's primal distortion capabilities combine with precision circuit tuning to create a formidable fuzz tone like no other. Crushing low frequencies entwine with penetrating midrange projection to give your tonal palate a truly unique timbre.
